Okay, so say you want to have two projects open at the same time If this way of working is important to you - don't buy this version of Movie Studio!Īctually, I found a possible way (maybe even the Sony Team wasn't aware of for the Steam version), or a work-around of sorts, to run multiple intances, or to be able to copy a track (or part of a project) from one project to another project. That leaves me with a piece of software that doesn't work the way I want or need it to, and I don't feel like buying a standalone version as well. Steam Support Team didn't gave me any support. So where does this leave us? Sony Creative Software have no solution to the problem. You will receive no further correspondence regarding this matter." The next response was a simple "Steam Support has provided you with all of the relevant information regarding this issue. It just felt like the ticket was not even read, so I responded with a clarification. Just a link to the Subscriber Agreement and "the game in question has been installed and played for xx hours." I didn't expect them to gladly throw me a refund, but I'm still kind of disappointed of how the ticket was handled. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft VS Code\Code.exe" -reporter-url= -application-name=VSCode "-crashes-directory=.I know it's very hard to get refunds from Steam, but I contacted Steam Support regarding this matter anyway to get some kind of support. one of the Child process code.exe seems to be an error Reporting Process for crashes. ![]() Following is a screenshot of how the Main code.exe properties appears using the Tool Process Explorer.Īdditionally, a quick glance at the command line arguments for each of the Children code.exe process would provide more useful information as to what each process is supposed to do. Summary from the comments mentioned in the Links This behavior is by Design and is documented in the comments in the Github Issues #5856, #8006 and #20856 Can someone help me understand if this is the right behavior on how Visual Studio Code is implemented internally? Total Code.exe process count now became 10 on its own when a total of 2 Visual Studio Code windows are currently active. I opened another fresh window of Visual Studio Code and saw that the count of Code.exe processes increased by two instead of one this time. I had an understanding that one Visual Studio Code window should map to a single Code.exe process. So one thing was sure that these few processes are not eating up too much memory together but still their count stumbled me for a second. Although, I can see that all eight instances are taking RAM memory in the range of few KBs to a maximum of 55 MB. I can see that in all there are eight instances of Code.exe. I went to task manager and saw that there are several instances of Code.exe in the process tab even though there is only one window of Visual Studio Code running/active on my PC. I'm facing a performance issue on my machine. ![]()
